Why does ProFile insist on "fake savings"?
In its offer for buying 2019 software in June, ProFile insists that I'm going to save $85 by paying in installments.
In the email I received they show savings of $60 if I sign up now.
In my cart when I sign up for the payment plan they show the software as being reduced from $520 to $435 - a savings of $85 - but then add in $25 as the prepayment charge for a total of $460. At the bottom they say I'm saving $85. But I'm not. I'm only saving $60.
I tested the amount if I pay it all now, and it's also $460 and the amount saved is shown as $60. So why the insistence on "fake savings"? Do they really think we're that stupid to not realize what they're doing? Come on, ProFile, you can do better than that.
