Client Explorer - Central File Server - Win XP

We have 7 desktop licenses for Profile. Each accountant will save the client file on a central server.

We would like to use Client Explorer - each workstation is having to "reindex" each time a new file has been created. 

We have tried to  use the shared server as seen on the "database / client explorer options" screen. If just goes off searching for a file but does not find one. 

We are thinking that the server requires sometype of software so it monitors the new files and all of the changes. 

 Does anyone have a setup procedure?

Thank you for contacting ProFile Community.

As Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, it lacks all the security updates that ProFile requires to run, which includes ports. Without these updates in place, it's quite possible that the communication with other computers will not be stable - thus forcing you to re-index.

I apologize for this inconvenience, but unfortunately there is no software that we can recommend to overcome this particular huddle. ProFile uses only Windows Firewalls and Microsoft Windows security settings to allow communication between computers - database, etc.
