just wondering if I use my statement from my bank and use it with quickbooks will that show up on my business stuff or is there a way around that I only wanted stuff for qucks for business only it's been 8 months now  and he keeps for getting that he needs to use personal account for ersonal and business with business can anyone help with this I wanted itfairly esy for me but he has done this not sure if I can find away to keep it for only business can I manualy it put the business tractions in quicks so my books will be just business


WhiteSugarAngel7... if you wish to communicate with others, you really should make it easy for them by using proper grammar and spelling.  This was painful to read.  (Lecture over).

If I understand you correctly, a husband (your husband) has been writing cheques from a (your?) business bank account; and you are wondering how to handle this in QuickBooks (I will shorten this to QB).  I am not sure how this is relevant to the PROFILE community as it clearly has nothing to do with tax preparation.

Any transactions written on a bank account that you are tracking in QB must be entered in QB if you want to reconcile the bank account monthly.  These cheques should be written as if they were paid into the "Shareholders Draw" or "Owners Drawings" account to avoid being shown as a personal "expense" (amongst Business Expenses), which is not really allowed for tax returns.

If this is your business then I would suggest that you keep the chequebook locked up.  If it is his then make him do the books so that he can understand just how much of a mess he is causing.
