About ProFile Review system requirements
What browsers are best for using ProFile Review?ProFile Review works with Safari 5.1+, Chrome 23+, and Internet Explorer 9+. Although ProFile Review works with Firefox 10.0.1+ we do not yet officially support this browser.
Can I access ProFile Review on a Mac?You can access ProFile Review on a Macintosh computer using Safari 5.1+.
Does ProFile Review support other Languages?ProFile Review is available in both French and English.
About the ProFile Review sign-in process
When setting up my Intuit Account, why does ProFile Review say that my username is already in use?You may have already used your email to create sign-in credentials for an Intuit Account. If you used QuickBooks Online for Accountants, TurboTax Online, or if you use the Find an Accountant website, you likely already used your email to create an account. We don't want you to have to create, manage, and remember 3 different sign-in credentials, so we use a single, secure sign-in process for all of our online experiences.
I had a ProFile Connect account last year. Will my sign in credentials still work?Yes, your ProFile Connect sign in credentials will work for ProFile Review.
Can I access returns that I synchronize to the Cloud on both ProFile Connect and ProFile Review?Yes. Both ProFile Connect and ProFile Review can access returns that you synchronized from ProFile Desktop.
I forgot the password for the ProFile Connect account I created last year, and I never created a security question. How do I reset my password?If you created an account but did not set up a security question (or experience other password problems), contact ProFile Support.
About the ProFile Review data sync process
How do I enable sync on ProFile desktop?1. Open ProFile.
2. Select the "Online Settings" option from the "Online" drop-down menu in the top toolbar.

3. Sign in using your ProFile Review information. If you do not yet have an account, click the "Sign In" link and select the "Create an account" option in the next window.
4. Select the "Enable Online Backup" option in the "Online Backup" section.
5. Select the "Enable Cloud Bridge" option in the "Cloud Bridge" section.
6. Click the "OK" button.
How do I open a file to sync with ProFile Review?1. Open the file from the current tax year in ProFile.
2. Select the "Save" option from the "File" drop-down menu in the top toolbar. The "Save" window displays.
3. Select the "Upload a copy of this file to ProFile Review" checkbox.
4. Click the "OK" button.
Do I have to sign in to my Online Account in ProFile to sync with ProFile Review?No. Once you complete the initial synchronization with ProFile Review, every time you save a file it automatically syncs with ProFile Review.
How do I sync my data while within ProFile Review?As with ProFile Desktop, syncing occurs automatically. Every time you save changes made to the return that you are reviewing, you are syncing your data with ProFile Desktop.
How do I know that the returns I reviewed in ProFile Review have synced with ProFile Desktop?When you open ProFile, a pop-up window will appear telling you that changes were made to the return using ProFile Review. You can review these changes in ProFile's Auditor Tool using a new tab called "Online Change". Every review mark and memo change that was made in ProFile Review will appear in the "Online Change" tab in the Auditor Tool.
Note: You cannot save a return that has been reviewed using ProFile Review until all of the online changes noted in the Auditor Tool are accepted or declined.
Can I edit a client's tax information from online with ProFile Review?You cannot edit a client's tax information. You may add or edit review marks and memos and create PDFs of returns.
Why don't returns that I've uploaded show up in ProFile Review immediately?The Client List is cached (temporarily stored on your computer) to make navigation faster. It should refresh within about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can sign out and back in again, or refresh your browser.
About ProFile Review returns
Can I upload previous year's returns to ProFile Review?You cannot upload prior year returns to ProFile Review. ProFile Review supports only current year returns at this time.
Why is there an option to upload 2012 and 2013 files?Although ProFile Review supports only current year returns, ProFile Connect does support returns from 2012 and 2013. ProFile Connect lets you toggle between these sets of returns.
Where are spousal returns? They don't appear in the Client List.The Client List displays the main return for a pair of linked spousal returns. Clients with a linked spousal return appear with a Spouse icon in the Joint column. Hovering over the Spouse icon displays the name of the spouse. Click the Spouse icon to open the spouse's return instead of the main client's return. Also, while viewing a return, you can toggle between each spouse's return by clicking the Spouse tab in the middle of the top of the page.
The worksheets and comparative forms available in ProFile don't show up in ProFile Review. Why? Will they be available at a later date?Currently, the worksheets and comparative forms are not available. We will be adding them to ProFile Review later. If there is a form you need and you don’t see it, let us know, and we will work hard to get it up on ProFile Review as quickly as possible.
About ProFile Review's Data Security Measures
How secure is my data?Intuit's professional staff and automated tools monitor service performance for problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Files that you sync are stored on our servers, with 24-hour physical security, a full-time security staff, video surveillance, and alarms to prevent high-tech breaches. We have a secure power supply and backup generators in case of a power outage, as well as complex smoke and flood detection and fire suppression systems. We rely on advanced, industry-recognized security safeguards to keep all of your data private and protected. ProFile Review has password-protected authentication, firewall-protected servers, and the same encryption technology (128 bit SSL) used by the world's top banks. We have the security elements in place to give you peace of mind.
Where is my data stored?Your data is stored in two secure Intuit servers in Canada.
If your server crashes, how will I get access to my data?ProFile Review relies on redundant servers and a self-correcting error detection program. So even if one server becomes unavailable, your service will probably not be affected. This means that you can access your data online no matter where you are or what you are doing. If one server crashes, the other one automatically takes over the work. These servers are in two separate geographical locations in Canada.
Is ProFile Review data stored in my device's memory?ProFile Review does not store data on your device. Although we do cache information to make navigation faster when you use ProFile Review, we delete this information as soon as you sign out so that no data remains.
How do you keep my data safe?We use the same level of security as banks and financial institutions to protect your data. We back it up every day so it'll be safe - even in the (very unlikely) event of a problem with our server. All of your data is stored and transferred in an encrypted form, so nobody else can read it.
Is my data shared with anyone or company?We build privacy into everything we do. It's not an afterthought. It's not corporate rhetoric. It's how we choose to treat - and respect - our customers on a daily basis. That's why we follow a strict set of guidelines and practices to protect all of your private information. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their promotional use. Intuit is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program, an independent, non-profit organization committed to the use of fair information practices.
